Happy Halloween!!!

It's been so long since I posted, I know, so here is my quarterly update!! we are so excited for halloween. Evelyn loves to carry around buckets and bags and put things in them, so I know she will love trick or treating. She is going to be a piggy bank. I got the idea when she swallowed a penny and the doctor at the hospital asked me if she was my only little piggy bank or if I had more at home. I'm in school right now and I hate my classes they are so boring. Granted they are really easy "A's" but I have really hard time paying attention to boring lectures for that long. Hopefully this will be the last of the boring stuff since I start in on my actual major work next semester. All of my classes next semester will be for nutrition and I can do them online so that andy and I can go to mexico for our aniversary and I don't have to worry about missing class. I am so excited I can't wait for next year, better classes, some baby free vacations, its gonna be great!!

Saturday Evelyn and I went to a cornmaze with some friends and had a blast. THe kids loved running around in the corn and we all got into a big corn fight. We were breaking the kernals off of the cobs and throwing them at each other. The best part wa swhen this guy that worked there got on our case about throwing corn and how its agains the rules and it's a $250 dollar fine, and we looked at our tickets where the rules were written and he was totally making it up. When we walked away from him my freiends daughter Jaycee who is about 3 had a hand full of corn and as she walked past him she threw it right up in the air!! we all laughed about that the rest of the night.

We also ripped out the kitchen on saturday. We are remodeling the room, so this is what my kitchen looks like. My micorwave is in my basement, my table and fridge is in the living room and everything else is in the garage, it's kinda fun and I can't wait to see the finished product!!

Happy birthday evelyn

Do to many requests/harrasments to update my blog I decied that evelyn's birthday and our trip to california would be a great thing to spot light. We went to go visit natalie and quin along with my mom and dad. We were able to stay in the beach house of some of quin and natalies friends in beautiful morrow bay. we went to Hearst castle while we were ther which was gaudy except for the grounds, the outside was actually pretty.

Evelyn had so much fun with her uncle quin. He carried her pretty much every where and one night she made him him chase her around for like an hour and she just laughed and laughed the whole time.

this was one of the guest rooms at the castle. every guest room had its own bathroom with a showere, which just shows how ahead of his time W.R. Hearst was.

The statues and the gardens were so pretty. Everything was imported from all over the world.

On evelyns birthday I wanted to get some pictures of what she looked like at one year. We had so much fun.

Who is excited for easter?!

I AM!!!

I can't believe it is almost Easter. Evelyns first Easter!! Yesterday we went up to Park City with my parents and got Evelyn her first easter dress. I am going to take her to the park tomorrow and shoot some Easter pictures.

Today was such a beautiful day that I took Evelyn in the back yard and took some pictures. I love the sun glasses! They're her superstar glasses!! The sun was in her face yesterday while we were shopping, so my dad bought her a really cute sunhat and those glasses and she suprisingly leaves them on!!

I have been wanting to do a triathlon, and my only hang up is that I don't have a bike and I don't want to go spend a ton of money on a bike and find out that I won't ever use it again. My friend Caroline said I can use hers, and I am really excited. I have been swimming to get better and just added running to the program, next week I will start all three, and the training will really begin. I will keep you all posted on how it goes and when I will compete.

Well things have slowed down a little bit and I am so relieved. Last time I just summed up what was going on because I was so overwhelmed with everything going on I didn't want to have to think about what to post. I mentioned that Evelyn walked on her own, and it was so amazing. Andy likes to stand her and get her balanced and then let go to see how long she will stand for and then on the 18th ( My dad's birthday) when he was doing it she just took off, so of course we started having her walk in between the two of us. I'm too scared to do it now though because one time when I was balancing her I thought she was ready and I let go and she fell and landed flat on her face. I felt so bad because usually my reflexes for catching things is really good because I drop things alot but I was too slow this time. So, unless Andy is home to help her she only walks in her exersaucer, which she loves!!

Last night Evelyn was in her walker(actually it's her exersaucer but I am too lazy to call it that) and I was making cookies(not really, I was putting the frozen stuff in the oven) and I heard alot of noise coming from the walker and then Evelyn started screaming and I looked over and she was RUNNING in circles and screaming(thats her new thing she does when she is happy)! It was so funny I just started laughing my head off which distracted her and she stopped to look at me all confused before she started laughing. I wish I had a video camera because it was so funny that anytime I'm feeling blue I could watch it and I know I'd cheer right up.

This mornign Evelyn had her first big girl bath without the baby bathtub. She was having so much fun kicking and splashing in the water and playing with her ducks. i was loving it too because it was way easier than using the luttle tub. I was jest gettingall of the soap rinsed off and she was lying down splashing when she stopped wiggling(amazingly) and all of a sudden a little pee stream comes flying up and a little yellow cloud appears in the tub, so I had to do it all over again. It was so gross but at least it wasn't poo! I don't even want to think about when I will have to deal with that!!

This is evelyn right after her first bath. I didn't think to take a picture until after the fact so I hurried and drained the tub and grabbed my camera ad snapped some pics so she wouldn't get cold, so thats why there is no water in the top one.

She loves having them brushed but she loves to try and do it her self even more. She actually does a pretty good job except she sometimes gags herself.

Its Been so Long!!

It's been awhile since my last post, I've been crazy busy. Here's whats been going on: Quin and Natalie came down for a weekend, Evelyn walked and got a new tooth, My dad had a birthday, I had two tests which I rocked by the way, and Andy as always has been really busy with work!!

Hello Everyone!!
Natalie has beeen trying to get me to do this forever and I have had so much fun reading hers that I thought I would start one finally.
Andy gave me a great new camera for my birthday and I have been having so much fun with it. I have about a million pictures of Evelyn cause she is so cute!! I'm taking a digital photography class so I have been taking pictures of stuff other than Evelyn and I'm having fun with that too.

Here is a picture of the temple I took today. I just walked around temple square taking pictures of stuff. It was really nice Just taking time away from everthing and walking around by myself, there is some really pretty stuff there.

Here is a picture of Evelyn wearing a kimono my friend Megan brought back from japan. Every one loved it and said how cute it was. Evelyn also decided she wanted to stand on her own that day, so that was pretty exciting and she has done it a couple times since. Here is another picture of Evelyn, we were just playing here, she has so much personality now, she is really alot of fun.

Andy has been really busy with work so he doesn't get to spend much time with her so when he is home I make sure he spends lots of time with her(Thats really just so I can have a break!!). She say's dada all the time though and Andy just loves it. Even though she doesn't really know what it meas, everytime she says it he comes running. THe best part is that she says it when she is crying so I can just tell Andy that she is calling for him!
